2015-2020 F-150 Roll-Up Tonneau Covers by Bed

This is the easiest F-150 block to shop for the short box. Tyger's T1 title names the years, Styleside 5.5 ft and the part number, and its sheet is readable before you buy. On a 6.5 ft or 8 ft box you will need to ask.

The short version

For a 2015-2020 F-150 short box, buy the Tyger T1 titled Styleside 5.5 ft, part TG-BC1F9029. The sheet lists a ratchet, a 10 mm socket and a Phillips screwdriver, and no drilling step. On a 6.5 ft box we found no Tyger or Gator title for these years. Ask the seller about TruXedo, whose title names no bed.

Tyger T1 (2015-2020 F-150, 5.5 ft)

Soft roll-up cover whose listing title reads: 2015-2020 Ford F-150 | Styleside 5.5' Bed | TG-BC1F9029.

Fits, according to the listing (maker's sheet read)

2015-2020 Ford F-150 | Styleside 5.5' Bed | TG-BC1F9029 (read November 3, 2026)

Check your exact year and bed length on the listing before you buy.

Why here: Title names years, Styleside 5.5 ft and part number, and that exact sheet is readable. Buy it if you have the short box. Skip it if you have the 6.5 ft or 8 ft box.

Why buy it

  • The part number in the title ties the listing to Tyger's own sheet
  • That sheet uses clamps, a ratchet with a 10mm socket and a Phillips screwdriver, with no drilling step
  • The sheet covers crossbars, the latch gap and a tension plate for adjusting the fit

Why skip it

  • Over-the-rail bed liner: the sheet says small 2 x 4 inch holes must be cut in the liner
  • Vinyl cover; no weight rating appears on the sheet

What the sheet tells you ahead of time

Part TG-BC1F9029's sheet is why this cover gets our pick. Before you buy, you can see the tools (ratchet wrench, 10 mm socket, Phillips screwdriver), and how the job runs. The cover sits on the front rail. The side rail slides into the bulkhead channel. You line up the inside edge of the side rail with the inner edge of the bed rail, then set the clamps.

It also tells you the things that go wrong. The gap between locking clip and side rail has to be under 1/16 in, or the cover will not lock securely. Crossbars have to arch upward or water pools. There is a troubleshooting section for a latch that pops up or jams, for pooling and for a cover that sits short. Most listings tell you none of that.

Before buying a cover without such a sheet, ask yourself where you will find that information when you need it.

Who else is listed

Tyger T2. Title runs 2015-2026 at Fleetside 5.5 ft (67 in). We could not open the sheet for this part, so it is marked listing data only.

DNA. Title says "15-20 Ford F150 5.5Ft Fleetside Bed". Listing data only.

Rough Country soft. Title says Ford F-150, Lightning and Raptor (2015-2026), fits 5 ft 7 in bed. We read a Rough Country manual for hard covers only, so this soft cover is listing data for us.

TruXedo TruXport and Lo Pro. Titles run 2015-2027 and name no bed. RealTruck lists a 5-year warranty and no-drill installation on the TruXport Gen 2. Ask which bed each listing is for.

The 6.5 ft and 8 ft boxes

Ford's 2021 specifications give 78.9 inches for the 6.5 ft box and 97.6 for the 8 ft. We found no Tyger or Gator title for these on 2015-2020 trucks in the data we pulled. Tyger's 6.5 ft (78 in) title is for 2009-2014, and that title does not name these years. Do not assume it carries over.

For those boxes, ask the seller of a TruXedo or BAK cover to confirm your bed in writing. Ford's own accessory listing for its covers is another route. See the hub for that.

Before you order

What owners ask

What is Styleside?

It is Ford's name for the straight-sided box. Tyger's title says Styleside 5.5 ft, and a DNA title says Fleetside, which is the usual word in other titles. If your truck has flared rear fenders, ask the seller first.

Can I use a 2021 cover on a 2019?

Only if the title names 2019. Rough Country's 2015-2026 and Tyger's T2 2015-2026 do. Gator's and Tyger's T1 for 2021-2026 do not. Stick with the title.

Does the T1 need drilling on these years?

The T1 sheet we read for part TG-BC1F9029 has no drilling step. It has you set clamps evenly about 6 to 8 inches from the ends, and tighten them only once everything is positioned.

Which is the difference between the T1 and T2?

We could read T1 sheets, but the T2 sheet for this part was missing. The T2 title runs 2015-2026, and the T1 stops at 2020. We make no claim about how the two differ beyond that.
