TruXedo TruXport, Lo Pro and Sentry CT: What Is Listed by Truck

TruXedo has the reach: TruXport, Lo Pro and the hard Sentry CT turn up on most trucks. The catch is in the titles, which name the years and no bed. So every TruXedo cover here comes with one job for you: get your bed confirmed.

The short version

TruXedo covers appear on most trucks here. RealTruck lists a 5-year warranty and no-drill install for the TruXport Gen 2, and 400 lbs, clamp-on and drill-free for the Sentry CT. Titles we pulled name years, not beds, so none gets a pick badge. Ask the seller to confirm your bed, and which generation the listing is.

What's on this page

What RealTruck states

RealTruck, which sells TruXedo, says this in its roll-up article:

CoverInstallWarrantyLoad
TruXedo TruXport (Gen 2)No-drill5 yearsNot stated
TruXedo Pro X15 TSNo-drillLimited lifetimeNot stated
RealTruck Sentry CTClamp-on and drill-freeNot stated400 lbs

Listings may not be for the same generation as the article. So when a listing says TruXport, ask whether it is the Gen 2 before you count on those terms. A TruXedo Lo Pro listing we pulled mentions a "hassle free lifetime warranty cover" in its data. We print that as seen, and suggest you confirm it.

Each truck page shows the TruXedo listings for that truck. Tacoma and Tundra have the most, by year block.

Why no pick badge?

A pick needs a title that names the bed and a maker document that goes with the product. RealTruck's article describes these covers well, but it is not a fit sheet, and RealTruck's product pages came back empty when we looked. Titles name no bed. So TruXedo stays without a pick badge, however good the covers may be. It is a call about documents, not quality.

If you get a seller to confirm your bed in writing, you have closed the gap yourself.

Buy it if, skip it if

Buy it if

  • You want RealTruck's stated warranty on the TruXport Gen 2
  • You have a Tacoma and want deck rails kept in place
  • A seller confirms your bed in writing

Skip it if

  • The title has to name your bed
  • You need a sheet in hand before you buy
  • You are shopping in the budget price class: these sit higher

On a Tacoma

TruXedo is the option RealTruck describes as keeping the deck rails in place. Large brackets go into the rail, the rails and bulkhead tie-downs stay and the cleats still slide, but less. It says this holds for the 2005-current truck, for soft TruXport and Lo Pro, and for hard Sentry and Sentry CT. See deck rails.

Alternatives

BAK Revolver X4s is the other hard cover RealTruck lists at the same load, with a stated warranty. Gator and Tyger have sheets you can read, and their titles name beds.

Questions to ask a TruXedo seller

  • Which bed is this listing for? Give your measured inches.
  • Is this the TruXport Gen 2 or an older version?
  • What is the warranty on this listing, and does it apply from this seller?
  • Can I have the installation sheet?

What owners ask

Why do two TruXport listings share a title?

We saw two listings with the same title and no explanation in it. They may differ by bed. We could not tell from what we read. Ask the seller which bed each one is for.

Do TruXedo covers keep Tacoma deck rails?

RealTruck says TruXport, Lo Pro, Sentry and Sentry CT on 2005-current Tacomas install large brackets into the deck rail, so rails and bulkhead tie-downs stay. Cleats still slide, but less.

Is Lo Pro the same as TruXport?

They are separate covers in the listings. We could not read a product page for either, as RealTruck's were empty when we looked. Its Tacoma article names both as soft covers.

Truck fit and buying advice

We are the editorial team at rolluptonneaucover.com. We read listing titles, maker install sheets and truck makers' own bed specifications and sort them truck by truck, with sources on every page. Nobody here has bolted these covers to a truck, and nothing was measured in a lab. We say so plainly.
