2005-2015 Tacoma Roll-Up Tonneau Covers by Bed
For a 2005-2015 Tacoma, the documented cover is Tyger's T1 for the 6 ft bed. The 5 ft bed gets listing data only, in a title from Auto Dynasty. Older trucks have one extra thing to check: what has been bolted or sprayed into the bed since new.

The short version
On a 2005-2015 Tacoma with the 6 ft bed, buy the Tyger T1 titled 6 ft (74 in), part TG-BC1T9037. Its sheet is readable. For the 5 ft bed, the title we found is Auto Dynasty's, listing data only. MOSTPLUS's 72 in title rules out Flareside and Stepside beds, so check yours.
Tyger T1 (2005-2015 Tacoma, 6 ft)

Why here: Title names years, inches and part number, and that sheet is readable. Buy it if you have the 6 ft bed. Skip it if you have the 5 ft bed.
Why buy it
- The part number in the title ties the listing to Tyger's own sheet
- That sheet uses clamps, a ratchet with a 10mm socket and a Phillips screwdriver, with no drilling step
- The sheet covers crossbars, the latch gap and a tension plate for adjusting the fit
Why skip it
- Over-the-rail bed liner: the sheet says small 2 x 4 inch holes must be cut in the liner
- Vinyl cover; no weight rating appears on the sheet
- Style
- Soft roll-up
- Material
- Soft vinyl
- Install
- Clamp-on, per maker sheet
- Price class
- Mid-range

Which bed do you have?
This is the block where bed-side wording matters most. MOSTPLUS's title spells it out: "Standard Model On Top Fleetside Cargo Bed 72Inch, Not for Flareside/Stepside Bed". Others do not mention it at all. If your bed has flared fenders, assume nothing and ask.
The inches do not line up, either. Tyger says 74 in, MOSTPLUS says 72 in, and both are talking about a 6 ft bed. We do not have a Toyota document for these years, so we cannot name a correct figure for you. Measure yours and hand the number to the seller.
For the 5 ft bed, the title we found is "2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma 5Ft" from Auto Dynasty. It gives no inches and no part number, and it is marked listing data only. That makes the short bed on this block the weakest documented spot on the Tacoma pages. A seller's written confirmation is worth more here.
TruXedo on these years
TruXport's title for this block names no bed. RealTruck says TruXedo's soft and hard roll-ups are for 2005-current Tacomas and use large brackets in the deck rail, which keep the rails and bulkhead tie-downs. Cleats still slide, but less. RealTruck also lists a 5-year warranty and no-drill installation on the TruXport Gen 2, which is the version in its article. Check which generation a listing is before you count on that.
What an older bed changes
Trucks from these years often have been modified. Before ordering, check these:
- Bed liner. Tyger's sheets call for small 2 x 4 in holes cut for the clamps if a liner runs over the rail. See bed liners.
- Rails. Factory rail or not? Tyger's sheet says trucks with a factory utility track rail get separate clamp instructions, attached.
- Bed rail caps. Clamps need somewhere to bite. Check for caps that are in the way.
After installing
Follow the T1 sheet: arch the crossbars upward, keep the locking clip gap under 1/16 in, latch before you close the tailgate. If the cover sits short, the sheet says to move the assembly toward the tailgate. If the front rail sits low, apply the front seal strip. All of this is in how to install, and the common failures in latch problems.
Your Tacoma is a 2016 or later? Go to 2016-2023 or 2024-2026.
If in doubt about the bed, a tape settles it.
What owners ask
Does a 2015 Tacoma cover fit a 2016?
Titles keep them apart. Tyger, TruXedo and others sell a 2005-2015 cover and a separate 2016-2023 cover. So buy what names your year, and do not rely on the two looking alike.
Why does one title say 72 inches and another 74?
MOSTPLUS's title says Fleetside Cargo Bed 72Inch. Tyger's says 6 ft (74 in). We cannot settle that difference from the documents. Measure your bed and ask the seller what its cover expects.
Does this older Tacoma have a deck rail?
It may. RealTruck says TruXedo's brackets work on 2005-current Tacomas. Tyger's sheet has separate clamp instructions for factory track rails. Look at your bed before ordering.
