Roll Up Tonneau Cover

Question & answer

Will a Cover Listed to 2026 Fit a 2027 Truck?

Not as far as the title goes. A title that stops at 2026 states nothing about a 2027. Some TruXedo and BAK titles already name 2027, but they name no bed. So for a 2027 truck, ask the seller, and do not stretch a year.

The short answer

A title that stops at 2026 does not state a 2027, so ask before you buy. TruXedo and BAK titles already reach 2027 on the F-150, Ram, Tundra, Silverado, Tacoma, Super Duty and Gladiator, but those name no bed. Tyger and Gator titles stop at 2026. New bodies are where this goes wrong.

Those titles reach 2027, but they do not name a bed. And they share a problem with all fit claims about the coming model year: a title can go up before anyone has had a truck to check it against. We cannot test that either way.

Why a year can matter

Most years, a truck's bed does not change from one model year to the next. Titles show this: they run a block of years, then split when something changes. The trouble is that nobody can tell you from a title alone whether the next year is a change year. Look at how they split today:

  • F-150: Tyger's T1 splits at 2015 and 2021.
  • Tacoma: titles split at 2016 and 2024.
  • Ram 1500: titles split at 2019.
  • Tundra: titles split at 2014 and 2022.
  • Silverado: titles split at 2014 and 2019.

So a cover that fits 2026 might well fit 2027, or it might sit on the wrong side of the next split. Nothing we read tells you which. We print the years the title states, and we do not extend them, for the same reason.

What to do with a 2027

  1. Look for a title that names 2027 and your bed.
  2. If only the year is named, ask the seller about your bed.
  3. If only 2026 is named, ask whether the seller has confirmed 2027. Give your cab and measured bed.
  4. Keep the return policy in mind, and do not cut a liner or remove parts until you are sure the cover fits.

Why we still show those covers

A title that names 2027 is the seller's statement. We show it with its date and wording, and that is the most we can do. If you want to know how we treat this kind of claim, see how we verify fitment. Your truck's current listings are on the truck pages.

What we will do when things change

We print what titles say on the date shown next to each fit line. When we re-read titles, the dates change and new years appear. Until then, a date tells you how fresh our reading is. Trust a live listing that names your year over an older line on this site.

What owners ask

Is the 2027 Silverado different?

We saw a headline about a next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, and could not read the page. So we cannot tell you what changed. Treat a 2027 Silverado as unconfirmed until a title names it and the seller confirms it.

How will I know when titles change?

Check the listing. Titles do get updated, and the date beside each fit line on this site tells you how old our reading is. If a title now names your year, that beats what we printed.

What if a seller says yes?

Get it in writing, with your year and bed in the message, and check the return policy. A seller's word is not a maker's sheet, but it is better than a guess and gives you something to go back to.
